Our sociocultural events

Language learning goes far beyond the classroom. Which is why the INLL offers numerous events to practise languages and meet new people.

These events are open to everyone, whether or not they are enrolled at the INLL.

Throughout the year, over 20 sociocultural events are organised, such as “Quiz Nights” at the INLL media library, “Meet & Speak” sessions — some in collaboration with Mudam, Villa Vauban, or the Lëtzebuerg City Museum — as well as an open day, Job Days in partnership with Adem, and many more.

If you’d like to stay informed about upcoming events at the INLL, sign up for the monthly newsletter.

Our different types of sociocultural events

Meet&Speak

Would you like to practice a foreign language in a friendly atmosphere? Join our Meet & Speak events organised by the Institut national des langues Luxembourg (INLL)—language meetups where learning goes hand in hand with fun and new connections!

Whether you’re a beginner or advanced learner, our events are open to anyone who wants to improve their language skills while sharing enriching moments with people from diverse backgrounds. Meet us at the INLL or in sociocultural venues across Luxembourg, such as Mudam, Villa Vauban, the Lëtzebuerg City Museum, and more!

Jobday ADEM-INLL

Are you looking for a job in Luxembourg? The INLL and the Agence pour le développement de l’emploi (ADEM) are holding one or two Jobdays a year with companies and recruitment agencies from various sectors including commerce, hospitality, catering, cleaning, construction, healthcare, IT, finance, and more.

Book swap

Every semester, the INLL organises a second-hand book swap.

Everyone is welcome to bring books they wish to give a second life. For one week, you can explore new books and take them home for free!

… and much more!

  • Open Day: In a welcoming atmosphere, the INLL staff organise fun activities to introduce our language courses and certifications.
  • Linguistic Plalking: In addition to practicing languages and meeting new people, this initiative raises awareness about littering, the act of improperly disposing of small urban waste in public spaces.
  • Play&Practice: Do you enjoy board games? Join our Play & Practice events and improve your language skills while having fun!
  • European Day of Languages: Every year on September 26, the INLL celebrates this event with interactive language-related activities.
  • Writing workshops: Do you love writing, discovering new stories, or exploring your creativity? Take part in one of our creative writing workshops, led by authors.
  • Literary evenings & Round tables: Join engaging discussions on language-related topics, hosted by diverse speakers.
